Lorna qualified from Trinity College Dublin with an honours degree in Dental Science in 2010. After qualification, she worked for two years as a house officer in the Dublin Dental University Hospital, where she gained valuable postgraduate training, with a strong focus on oral surgery. Her rotations also included providing emergency on-call dentistry for many of the Dublin hospitals.

During this time in the Dental Hospital, she completed her Membership to the Faculty of Dental Surgery examinations with the Royal College of Surgeons Ireland (MFDS RCSI).

She then moved to England for a year and worked as a Senior House Officer in Maxillofacial Surgery in Chichester, West Sussex, where she also completed her Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) training. She then returned to Dublin and worked as a registrar in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in St James’s Hospital for a year.

She spent many years working in a private practice in Kildare, whilst also working in the HSE treating children, before she came to work in Harcourt Dental.

She recently completed a postgraduate Implant course in Watford, UK.

Outside of dentistry, Lorna enjoys keeping fit with hiking, running and cycling and also loves heading to many music gigs!

I’ve been going to harcourt dental for many years and always had a great experience. Dr. Lorna is such a great dentist, very attentive and reassuring and provides advice on how to maintain oral health. I’ve had other procedures with their oral surgeon and endodontist such as extractions and root canals and all have been very good. Very happy with them.

I was in with Martin’s O’keeffe (hygienist ) last week and as visits to a dentist go it was very enjoyable . Martina is very good at her job and is very professional and always makes me feel at ease and we even manage to have a bit of banter. Lorna from Harcourt Dental Clinic is amazing. Her approach to managing my teeth is brilliant, I am 58, with a mount full of large filings and Lorna's work has made such improvements. She is so professional and communicates really well, setting out a plan. I am so relaxed when I go to the dentist that I fell asleep when I was getting a large back filling!Reception lady is very nice and helpful and dental nurse was so friendly when I was in with Lorna on 29/9.
